The Zambia International Trader Fair – ZITF assistant manager for marketing and public relations Chola Mwamba has told the Zambian Business Times – ZBT that this years show is expected to attract a good number of exhibitors as over four hundred (400) have already been registered so far.
She told ZBT that last years show had six hundred and fifty five (655) exhibitors in total with one hundred and ten (110) being international participants. The 54th edition will be held under the theme “Private Sector Key to Industrialisation”. Mwamba said the National Road Fund Agency – NRFA has come on board in sponsoring the presidential luncheon, which will be held a night before the trade fair starts.
“The trade fair is the platform were both local and international business players come together to exchange ideas and network on valuable business and economical development insights in the country,” she said. We are looking at an increase in both the numbers and quality of exhibitors.
She narrated that this years show like always will be accompanied by the business seminar with the theme “private sector key to industrialisation” were high profile local and international business and motivational speakers have been lined up to engage in discussions and talk to the business clientele on how best they can surmount the challenges they encounter.
Other topics of discussion at the seminar will involve entrepreneurship skills and corporate governance arrangement that can be employed in improving and driving business growth.
She also indicated that members of the general public twill also be catered for and should expect a lot more exciting things from this years show. The organizing committee is looking to make the trade fair as the biggest show of the year and it has been lined with an array of activities that include business, entrepreneurship, entrainment and other exciting activities. The show will climax with an award giving to deserving business entities.
When asked about the money which has been pumped in for the preparation by the sponsors, Mwamba told ZBT that she would avail the figures and key sponsors in due course. ZBT will this year partner with the ZITF to provide tailored Corporate and Business profile coverage to entities that will be exhibiting at the Trade Fair to be held in Ndola.
The Zambia International Trade Fair is the biggest International Trade Exhibition in Zambia that promotes Trade and Investment. The trade exhibition takes place in Ndola, a city located in Zambia’s Mining and Industrial hub of the Copperbelt. ZITF plays a focal role as a platform for promoting Cross Border Trade and it attracts participation from all sectors of the economy, both locally and internationally.
ZITF is a major business event in the Zambian business calendar that is usually opened by the Zambian Head of State with the guest of honor being foreign head of state. All major Corporates and government agencies in Zambia make it a point to exhibit and this is further enhanced by foreign and multinational companies and agencies exhibitors.
