State owned telecoms provider Zamtel, on 31 July gave the ministry of sports youth and child development a ZMW150,000 shot in the arm to assist in easing preparations for the Netball African Championship in August. Marketing Manager Chibeza Ngoma handed over a cheque Sports Minister Honorable Moses Mawere, in Lusaka.
Mr. Ngoma re-echoed the providers commitment in supporting sports disciplines especially those deemed to be minor. This comes after the Zamtel sponsored the recently held cycling competition dubbed ‘choova’ on the Eastern part of Zambia.
“We would like to commend Zamtel for its continued partnership with government and the sports ministry in particular in the development of sports. I urge Zambians to support the telecoms provider so as to allow the them continue investing in sports development in Zambia,” Mawere said.
Netball African Championship will be held in Zambia at the OYDC from 13 to 18 August 2018 in Lusaka.
