Zambia’s London 2017 IAAF Medals hope Collapses

Zambia’s hope of collecting a medal at the on-going international Athletics Association Federation (IAAF) faded in a disappointing note on Wednesday evening when Splinter Sydney Siame failed to progress to the 200m final race.

Siame, a Zambia Police officer finished in fourth position with a timing of 20.54. Jereme Richards(20.14) and Hakin Sani Brown (20.43) of Trinidad and Tobago and Japan respectively finished ahead of Siame to qualify to the final on a rainy night.

In the 400m Women Final race, Kabange Mupopo did her best but was not good enough as she found the other competitors too tough. She struggled from the outer lane to put up a strong challenge especially when coming towards the 100m finish dash.

United States of American Athletes Phyllis Francis won that race to win gold with her conpatriot Allyson Felix winning bronze. Salwa Eid Naser collected silver medal for Bahrain in that race with Mupopo coming second last.
